Game Viewing

All Tours are done in air-conditioned vehicles, with permits and passenger liability.
English, registered and THETA accredited or similar tour guides.
Other languages and specialities can be arranged on request.
Discounted rates for groups of four or more passengers and on combination tours.
Custom made tours organised anywhere in South Africa with National registered tour guides.
A certain portion of the tour price is put in trust to educate and create work opportunities for the disadvantaged.
We try to offer a little more than just the expected on our tours.
Our Addo tour may include a bit of the city and a drive through the township,
while the City Tour may include a bit of township or vise-versa.
This depends on the time available and the guests we have on board.
All of the prices quoted are per person with a minimum of 2 persons per tour.

Addo Elephant National Park
Have you experienced an elephant standing literally arms length away from you? Sat in the middle of a herd of elephant and watched their interactions with each other and their antics? Heard the various communication techniques of these mighty beasts? Watched as newly born babies wobble along behind their mothers? If not now is your chance! This Park is the most popular park in South Africa with more visitors a year than even The Kruger National Park. Addo Elephant Park has a unique place in the struggle to preserve the African elephant and the cape buffalo. It is now home to the densest population of elephant in the world. From an original 11 elephant and 8 buffalo, Addo now brags with over 290 elephant and 130 buffalo. Also to be seen are zebra, warthog, jackal, suricate and numerous species of antelope such as red hartebeest, kudu, and bushbuck. If you are lucky buffalo and black rhino may also be seen. One of the famous animals to be found in the park is the Dung Beetle.  Even if you have seen 1000’s of Elephants this experience will excite and challenge you. An adrenaline rush as you see an elephant walk right up to you. Closer to these great animals you will never get. The price includes the pick up and drop off at your hostel, entrance fee to the park and a light lunch.

Schotia Lion and Game Safari’s:
A private game park situated up against the Addo Elephant Park offers you game drives in open vehicles with game wardens.

Schotia Tooth and Claw Night Drive
Apart from all the game this park is renowned for it’s small lion population which roam free and hunt for themselves is really the main attraction.A great opportunity for a close up view of the king of the beasts. Not for the faint hearted. Schotia is also home to zebra, blesbok, eland, gemsbok, wildebeest, red hartebeest, reedbuck, impala, bushbuck and duiker. After your game drive you can wander around, look at crocodiles and then have a wonderful African meal under the stars in the bushveld.  A truly memorable experience, and the ultimate climax to the day. Shamwari

Amakhala Game Safari
The place of the Aloes, hosts the only wild cheetahs in the area. This big game adventure is in a malaria free area, in open landrovers with your personal game ranger. Amakhala is home to the endangered Cape buffalo white rhino, as well as giraffe, hippo, zebra and numerous species of antelope. Dine at the Amakhala Reed Boma, in the heart of the bush and enjoy the bush atmosphere while sampling their traditional meal. Walk and Talk with Elephants - Elephant Back Safaris
Follow in the footprints of the ancients. A Unique opportunity to interact with these great gentle giants in their natural environment. The experience lasts for between 2 and 2½ hours. You will be able to ride on these gentle giants, take a walk with them through their bush home and feed them. A closer and more personal encounter with these intelligent creatures cannot be experienced anywhere. The African elephant is vastly different in temperament and attitude to the Indian elephant. The price includes the pick up and drop off at your hostel, the elephant experience and a meal.

Seaview Game and Lion Park
The Seaview Game and Lion Park was established in 1975 and is situated 25 km along the coast between Port Elizabeth and Jeffrey’s Bay. This Park invites jackals, lynx, crocodiles, giraffe, zebra, baboons, monkeys, wildebeest and a variety of other African animals. Seaview Game Park is renowned for its breeding population of white lions. This is a small park and many of its inhabitants have been saved from destruction. It is also a lion-breeding centre and as such some of the animals are in fenced off areas

Kragga Kamma Game Park - A wild Animal Kingdom
This 200-hectare park is only a short distance from the city, situated in lush coastal bush and grassland. It is home to a large variety of African game including, giraffe, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, white rhino, impala, nyala, lechwe, reedbuck, warthog and bushbuck. The resident bird of prey is the jackal buzzard and other species such as fish eagles, yellow-billed kites and sparrow hawks also occur. Knysna lourie are plentiful and more than 100 species of wild birds and waterfowl have been identified. An ideal opportunity to get those camera shots you missed in the larger parks.

Kariega Game Park
The day starts with a 2 hour game drive in an open vehicle viewing the abundant bird life and more than 20 species of game, including giraffe, zebra, waterbuck, eland, gemsbok, wildebeest and nyala. Lunch is served in the Day Centre before we set off on a 1½ hour cruise on the tranquil Kariega River where sightings of African fish eagles, Knysna louries, a variety of colourful kingfishers and waterfowl are regular highlights. The price includes the pick up and drop off at your hostel, a 2 hr game drive, 1½ river cruise and your African lunchtime meal.

Lalibela Game Reserve
This private game reserve’s location in the Eastern Cape means it is not only malaria free, but spans 4 ecosystems resulting in a breath taking diversity of plants, animals and birds. Lialibela means “for whom the bees have foretold greatness”. Game Drives are in open vehicles with an experienced game ranger bringing you face to face with a multitude of game species ranging from mighty elephant, rhino and buffalo to tiny blue duiker and rock hyrax. Lalibela is also home to cheetah, hyena, hippo, giraffe, zebra, warthog and numerous species of antelope. Bayethe is a 3 800 hectare private game reserve where elephant, rhino and buffalo as well as giraffe, zebra, warthog and many species of antelope are equally at home.

This 16 000 hectare private game reserve is managed by the internationally renowned Conservation Corporation Africa. It is home to the Big Five, as well as cheetah, giraffe and many species of antelope.

This 200 hectare park is only a short distance from the city, situated in lush coastal bush and grassland. Sea Safari-Whales and Dolphins

Visit the St Croix Island Marine Reserve and see the largest breeding colony of the African Penguins. Visit the other Islands & see the new Coega development. Whales, dolphins, seals, sharks and sea birds abound en route. Proceeds go to furthering marine conservation. All year round the bay is home to large schools of dolphins, brydes and minkie whales. While in season the southern right whale visits our bay. Includes pick up and drop off at your hostel.

2 Day/1 Night Game Safari
Day 1 starts at 9 am with a visit to the Seaview Game Park where we drive into the lion enclosure, see the legendary white lions and play with the younger animals. A light lunch (Budget optional) is enjoyed at the park and then off to Kwantu. Kwantu Game Park offers you a wild life experience with the BIG four. There are also giraffe, rhino, hippo, buffalo and hundreds of Zebra, wildebeest and other animals. Enjoy a late afternoon drive, an interactive cultural experience and a five star meal under the African sky.
 
 
Day 2 after breakfast we travel through the city of Port Elizabeth as we learn about the early Khoi and settler history, South End and the forced evictions of the apartheid era, Red location, the Townships and all the cultural history of the area. Arriving at Addo Elephant National Park we will interact as closely and with as many elephants as possible. Lunch (Budget optional) is enjoyed in the park and as the day closes we head back to Port Elizabeth arriving around 4-30pm. 3 Day/2 Night Game Safari
Day 1 starts at 9am with a drive through Uitenhage, the Karoo and on to Graaff-Reinet. The day will be spent in the Valley of Desolation, the Karoo Game Park and after a light lunch (budget optional) a tour of the town. Then it is a short drive to Nieu-Bethesda where we will do a walking tour of the town and visit Helen Martin’s Owl House. We overnight in Nieu-Bethesda and enjoy a traditional meal under the vibrant stars of the Karoo sky.
 
Day 2 is up early to a sumptuous breakfast and off to the Mountain Zebra National Park. This unique mountain park is home to the endangered Mountain Zebra, giant earthworms and many antelope. A light lunch (budget optional) is enjoyed in the park and then off to Cradock where we will tour the town, including Olive Schriener’s House a few churches and Museums. We will overnight in Cradock and after a delicious dinner we will be entertained by a local artist/s. For those that can handle it we will do a late night tour of the graveyard.
 
Day 3 After breakfast we travel to the Addo Elephant National Park where we will interact as closely and with as many elephants as possible. Lunch (Budget optional) is enjoyed in the park and as the day closes we head back to Port Elizabeth arriving around 4-30pm. The price includes the pick up and drop off at your accommodation, game drives, all entrance fees and two nights accommodation.

4 Day/3 Night Game Safari

Day 1 is off to see the fantastic success story of the Addo Elephant National Park. Here we will try and interact closely with as many elephants as possible. Lunch (Budget optional) is enjoyed in the park and then we transfer across to Schotia. Apart from all the game this park is renowned for, it’s lion population, which roam free and hunt for themselves is really the main attraction. The close up encounter with the king of beasts is not for the faint hearted. You will have an afternoon drive, cocktails with the lions and an evening drive. Dinner is served in the boma under the African stars and around the campfires.
 
Day 2 before breakfast we take a game walk/drive at Schotia (Luxury Safari only) and then after breakfast we take to the road to Cradock. We will tour the town of Cradock, including Olive Schriener’s House, a few churches and Museums. A light lenjoyed in a quaint retaurant (Budget optional)  and then we will join a local tourist guide who will take us into the township and we will hear stories of the Cradock 4 and what life  was like in the township, pre and post apartheid. Before leaving we will take a turn into the veld to Egg Rock, an incredible geological phenominum. We will overnight in Cradock and after a delicious dinner we will be entertained by a local artist/s. For those that can handle it we will do a late night tour of the graveyard.
 
Day 3 sees us start our journey, after breakfast, further into the interior through Cradock and on to the Mountain Zebra Park. This unique mountain park is home to the endangered Mountain Zebra, giant earthworms and many antelope. A light lunch (Budget optional) is enjoyed in the park and then we are off to Nieu-Bethesda. Here we will do a walking tour of the town and visit Helen Martin’s Owl House. We overnight in Nieu-Bethesda and enjoy a traditional meal under the vibrant stars of the Karoo sky.
  
Day 4 starts off lazily with a sumptuous breakfast and a short drive to Graaff-Reinet. Enjoy an early walk in this quaint town or relax. The rest of the day will be spent in the Valley of Desolation, the Karoo Game Park and after a light lunch (Budget optional) a tour of the town. Then it is off to Port Elizabeth via Uitenhage, arriving around 4-30pm.  The price includes the pick up and drop off at your accommodation, game drives, entarnce fees, drinks and snacks and three nights accommodation.

Karoo National Park
Situated just off the N1 close to Beaufort West and right in the heart of the Great Karoo. The Karoo National Park is just a small portion of this vast and unforgiving landscape. The park is home to a large diversity of life all adapted to survive in the harsh conditions. It is dominated by the lofty Nuweveld mountains and the rolling plains, where fossils of the many species which roamed the area can be seen.

Inkwenkwezi Private Game Reserve
Inkwenkwezi is home to an abundance of animals from rhino, wildebeest, giraffe, warthog, and zebra to springbok, impala, gemsbok and the unique Eastern Cape kudu. The birdlife is magnificent and includes the rare Stanley’s bustard and gracious crested cranes, secretary birds, ground hornbills and ostriches. Situated in a malaria free area Inkwenkwezi is a true wonder. The bushveld is immaculate and the two rivers running through the reserve create a depth of texture and fertility. The wide variety of game and birdlife thrive in this eco-friendly wilderness with all the space, grazing and protection they need. The reserve is about 100 square kiliometres and overlooks the Indian ocean.

Addo, Mountain Zebra and Valley of Desolation
This is a do not miss safari. We start day one in the Addo Elephant National Park with the mighty beasts. Late afternoon we transfer from Addo to the Mountain Zebra Park where we spend the night. Day 2 sees us driving through this unique mountainous region. Then it is off to the lovely little village of New Bethesda with the famous Owl House. Here we spend the night. Day three is off to Graaf Reinet, the Game Reserve and the Valley of Desolation. This is a unique area with fossils date back millions of years. Late afternoon we return. The price includes all transport, meals, 2 nights accommodation in Guest House/Game Lodge and all entrance fees.
